To understand how to manage money you have to do the following:
Read a book about value investing, study the principles of Graham and Dodd, follow the thoughts of Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger in any of the Berkshire Hathaway annual reports, and read articles about George
Soros, Julian Robertson, and Michael Steinhardt, and you will get an in-stant education on how to do. it. All of this material will tell you basically the same thing, which is to find things that are cheap, load up your truck, and sell the investments when they are no longer cheap. You don't need to be a chartered financial analyst or a Harvard MBA to be a good investor. You just need to understand how to identify good companies at reasonable prices. It is not rocket science, and anyone who suggests otherwise is lying. The idea that only CFAs or MBAs are qualified to manage money is insane.
